I made these "Peony Bridal Bouquet" cookies for my mom's friend's daughter, Elizabeth, for her recent bridal shower. The cookies were based on the cookies I did for this post, but slightly modified in color and design. The ivory and green colors were simple and fresh and almost gave the cookies a "shabby chic" look. They ordered the cookies without any favor packaging since they already had favors. Instead they put them out on platters with dessert. I actually don't have any photos of the cookies from the shower, but I styled them a bit here for "photo sake".
I also experimented with a fun way to package these cookies using mini "diamond" beads and stitched edge grosgrain ribbon.
My mom did the cake for Elizabeth's shower, which I think came out amazing! It was her first or second time doing a hand-painted cake design. But as you'll see, it looks quite "pro" because she's a superstar. The cake design, specially requested by the bride-to-be, is inspired by a Cath Kidston fabric/pattern.
I think this was the particular pattern inspiration, which is called "antique rose":
Here's the cake! (Photos compliments of my dad!)
Here are a few "real" party snapshots of Elizabeth and her cake from Facebook. I especially liked the one of the three sisters (and niece)! :)
