This bridal shower was for a family friend, Ali, who I also made these Newport/Nautical bachelorette cookies for. My oh-so-talented mom pretty much did everything you see here in this blog post -- the trio of cakes, all the dessert table treats (coconut cream and meyer lemon meringue tarts, oreo and coconut tiramisu truffles, strawberry shortcake and key lime shooters), the bunting/banner behind the table, the tablecloth, the table number flags, the floral arrangements at the tables and at the dessert table, the boxed cupcake favors. The only thing I contributed to was the monogram cookie favors that also doubled as escort/seating cards for the bridal shower guests, the labels at the dessert table, and I piped the monogram onto the center cake. We did have such a fun time planning everything together though over Facetime and Pinterest -- talking about fabrics, patterns, monograms, vases, and combinations of vases, apothecary jars, cake designs, cookie designs, etc. We set everything up together at the Cherry Valley Club in Garden City with the Hostess with the Mostess Pat (Ali's mother in law) and thanks to her, it all came together really beautifully. Ali really loved everything and had a wonderful time at the shower. As usual, way too much food made by my mom, but there's nothing wrong with delicious leftovers for people to take home, right??
